Dr. Kim was born in South Korea and earned his veterinary degree from Konkuk University in 2010. He began his career as a research veterinarian at a vaccine company, where he developed a strong interest in viral transmission. This passion led him to pursue graduate studies at the University of Minnesota in 2014.

After earning his Master's degree, Dr. Kim began the Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence (PAVE) to obtain a veterinary licensure in the United States. He successfully completed the clinical evaluation program at Louisiana State University and has been practicing as a licensed veterinarian in the Dallas area since 2021.

Dr. Kim and his wife enjoy life in North Texas alongside their beloved long-haired dachshund, Yeo-rum—which means "Summer" in Korean.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kim enjoys playing baseball, softball, and golf, and staying current with the latest research in small animal medicine.
