Dr. Thompson graduated from the University of Missouri with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2013. Prior to completing veterinary school, Dr. Thompson studied animal science at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. She spent the first years of her career practicing in Missouri doing a mix of both small and large animal work. She is originally from Minnesota but made the move to Texas in 2015.

Dr. Thompson joined the team at Family Pet Clinic in August 2017 as an Associate DVM and made the move to Managing DVM in May 2019. She has many fur babies of her own including two cats, two dogs, and her horse. In her spare, time she enjoys being active in her church, working at her ranch, and spending time with her animals.
